F.D. "Dee"  Canter Notes:

World War II veteran:  European theatre

Sunday 12:45 p.m. August 1960:  Dee, age 49 years, was struck by lightning at his home in Pulaski, VA, Airport Addition.  At the time of the lightning strike, Dee was outdoors near the rear of his home, along with his daughter.  The lightning strike knocked cigarettes, lighter and car keys from Dee's clothes.  The heels of his daughter's shoes (nails in heels) were also knocked off.  Both persons survived the strike.
