At this time, Thomas Canter is the oldest
link to our family--and we're not really sure about this. There is
still a great deal of mystery concerning just which Canter spawned the
Canters of southwestern VA and eastern TN. But we're working on it
diligently.

Robert Lee and Richard Allen Canter
Parents: Roscoe William Canter and Ada Emma Quail Bell
Note: On Tuesday, September 10, 8:15p.m., at brother
Roscoe Canter, Jr. apartment in Bristol, VA, Robert and Richard were
helping Roscoe lower a 37 ft 1-inch mast 8 ft. 8 in. whip antenna
attached. They planned to lower it and install a new antenna.
Roscoe in second floor window guiding rope--on ground to take whip
antenna--the rope slipped and fellon live wire with high voltage 7200 then
landed on clothes line pole. Robert and Richard were electrocuted.
