If your family history includes the surname Canter, you are likely to find a member of your family in the Canter family genealogy below. Canter family history begins in Charles County Maryland, and from there it spreads westward to Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio.

Canter Family History Research Advances:
Through sharing family history research and data, the CanterHistory Group has made great progress in piecing the Canter Family in America together.  However, we do still have unanswered questions.   The CanterHistory Group is working diligently to answer these questions and to piece our family genealogy together.  DNA tests are helping to authentic and direct our research.
