How to Read the Genealogy Charts

The charts on this website are created in a style that gives an instant picture of a family.
  • Squares indicate males and circles indicate females.
  • Birth, death and marriage dates  are self explanatory.
  • When it is known how old a person lived to be, that number is placed inside the square or circle.
  • Birth order is obvious from the placement of the squares and circles.
  • The charts are best viewed by scrolling to the bottom and working back up.
  • Marriages of children are indicated by smaller squares and circles connected to the square or circle of the individual child
  • References and anecdotal material are included off to the side of the name of the individual.
  • Photos are sometimes included just for fun--when available
